Day 1 | Destination: Arrive Paro | Activity: On arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be received by our representatives and Transfer to the Hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Paro. |
Day 2 | Destination: Paro Sightseeing. | Activity: Drive to Drukgyal Dzong. While returning visit Kichu lakhang, Visit Paro Dzong, Museum. After lunch, take a leisurely walk to market. If possible at night we will process to visit Airport view from the top of the Mountain.over night at Paro. |
Day 3 | Destination: Paro Hike to Tiger’s Nest. | Activity: After breakfast we will be hiking to Taktsang, the Tiger’s Nest. This magical monastery clings to a vertical granite cliff 3000 ft. above the valley floor. The hike to Taktsang Monastery takes about 3-4 hours. We will be enjoying our lunch at Takshang. Over night at Paro. |
Day 4 | Destination: Paro - Jela Dzong (Trek starts). | Activity: (Distance - approximately 7 km, alt. 2576m) With the best wishes and Successful hope we will start our first trekking for the day. The trek trail is rather gradual till the camp and if the weather is clear, the Paro Valley can be seen with the snowcapped mountains behind the valley. |
Day 5 | Destination: Dzong - Jangchulakha. | Activity: (Distance - 10 km, alt. 2879m) Begin with about an hour and half climb and then ascend gradually up. The trail takes you through thick alpine forest and dwarf rhododendron tress. You may see yaks and yak herders around your campsite. |
Day 6 | Destination: Jangchulakha - Jimilangtso. | Activity: (Distance – 11 km, altitude –4040m) The trail follows the ridge and on a clear day the view of the mountains and valley are beautiful. The campsite is close to the Jimilangtso Lake. These lakes are known for their giant sized trout. |
Day 7 | Destination: Jimilangtso - Simkota. | Activity: (Distance – 11 km, alt - 3,485m) Today you will experience the rhododendron trees and Janetso Lake. You may come across some yak herder’s camps where you will have the opportunity to get a glimpse of a nomad’s life. The campsite is close to Simkota Lake which is famous for trout fishing! |
Day 8 | Destination: Simkota - Phajodhing. | Activity: (Distance - 10 km, altitude - 2,879m) The trek begins with a gradual climb. If the weather permits, you will have a spectacular view of Mount Gangkar Puen- sum, the highest mountain in Bhutan. From this pass, the trek takes you down hill to Phajodhing for a nights halt. |
Day 9 | Destination: Phajodhing - Thimphu (Trek ends). | Activity: (Distance – 8 km, altitude - 2,439m) The trek to Thimphu is all the way down hill through a forested area of mostly blue pine. The walk, at a leisurely pace, takes about three hours. Back to hotel for a hot shower and delicious lunch. Evening: Stroll freely in the town. Night at Thimphu |
Day 10 | Destination: Thimpu Sightseeing. | Activity: After breakfast we process to visit Buddha point, one of the largest statue in Asia, visit takin view, longest Handcraft and after lunch will process to Memorial chorten and changankha lhakhang . at night if guest are interested we will for to pubs and clubs to simply relief our stress. Over night at Thimphu. |
Day 11 | Destination: Departure. | Activity: After breakfast we process to airport for depature. |
Day 7 | Destination: Jangothang –Lingshi (18 km, 7-8 hours). | Activity: Start the climb up to the first ridge with a breathtaking view of Jhomolhari, Jichu Drake and Tshering Gang. Then Walk towards the valley, almost flat for a while, until the climb to the Ngye La pass at an altitude of 4,700m. After the pass, it is a gradual descent to the Lingshi camp, enjoying the panoramic view of the peaks and Lingshi Dzong. Camp at an altitude of 4000m. |
Day 8 | Destination: Lingshi- Shodu (22 km, 8-9 hours). | Activity: Today Laya Gasa route leaves the Jhomolhari trek here. The trek route climbs towards a small white Chorten on a ridge above the camp, then turns south up the deep Mo Chhu valley. It then crosses the river, and climbs steeply for two hours to Yeli La pass (4,820m). From the pass, on a clear day, you can see Jhomolhari, Gangchen Ta, Tshering Gang and Masang Gang. Descend alongside a stream to a shelter, and then further downstream to a camp at Shodu (4,100m), a meadow with a Chorten. |
